How do I book a piercing appointment?

Body Piercings appointments are booked ONLINE.
Options include booking a PIERCING (getting the piercing done), TROUBLESHOOTING (problems with an existing piercing, jewellery issues, etc) and CONSULTATIONS (thinking of getting a piercing and wanting to bounce ideas etc).
Booking is quick and easy, just click the booking button below and off you go.
Please arrive on time, or even a couple of minutes ahead if possible, to fill out paperwork and to choose jewellery etc.
If you are late for an appointment it will be cancelled on you, and you’ll need to book again.

Oh no, my piercing came out too soon!

Don’t panic! If you’ve removed your jewellery (deliberately or by accident) before your piercing has fully healed, you’ve likely just discovered that you can’t  get it back in easily. It’s not unusual for people to get their jewellery in half way, or 3/4 way in before coming to a dead stop.  Please don’t spend half an hour or more trying to shove it back in, as you’ll only end up injuring yourself or cause the hole to swell shut, which will make any future attempts even more painful or futile. 

Our advice is to seek professional help — if you’re able to make it back in to Nighthawk Tattoo to see Mark, try not to wait too long. Even after a day or two a young piercing may start to heal over. If the jewellery has come out over the weekend or during a time when our piercer is away, please seek out a reputable shop in your area to get assistance.  A professional piercer has the tools and the experience to safely and cleanly re-insert your jewellery, or advise you of your options if the jewellery can no longer go back in.  Keep in mind, your piercer will do everything they can to help, but sometimes it might be too late and you may have to pay to have the piercing eventually redone all over again.

Our best piece of advice: Take care of and be careful with your brand new piercing. Follow the aftercare advice your piercer has given you (and ignore that friend who is telling you it can be switched in two weeks!) Avoid situations where your piercing is getting caught or injured from clothing or the environment around you.  A few simple, mindful precautions early in your new piercing’s life will go a long way towards giving you a happy, well healed body piercing for years afterwards.

How do I do a tattoo consult?

Please send in any reference/inspirational pictures with a brief description of your tattoo details.

Please include:
-Date and time of appointment (if already booked) and which artist you are with.
-Size estimate (in inches or cm, or relative to something like a business card, palm of hand size etc).
-Location on the body.
-Will your tattoo be colour, solid black or black and grey?
-Will your tattoo be covering up or modifying an old piece? If so please include a picture of original tattoo/area
-Any other info you feel is important (specific details about design, changes or other ideas)

Can I see my artwork ahead of time?

With tattoo bookings being 2-3 months in advance Laurie and Mac both have a steady drawing workload for up coming appointments and generally do not work on artwork until a few days before the tattoo appointment.

But I’m the type of person who needs to see my tattoo artwork well in advance...
Please feel free to contact the shop to see if your artist can get you a peek at your artwork ahead of time.

What kind of payment do you accept?

Tattoos payments are Cash only. (There is an RBC in the next plaza which accepts most types of bank cards)

Piercings payments available are Cash, Debt/Credit or E-Transfer

How do I purchase a gift certificate?

Tattoo Gift Certificates can be purchased directly at the shop and are Cash only.

Piercing Gift Certificates can be purchased in person at the shop or done online.

Do you pierce Children’s ear lobes?

Yes! Mark has a fantastic reputation in the community as the go-to-it piercer for parents with younger children wanting their ears pierced. We do NOT pierce babies or toddlers, but if you and your child have decided together that getting an ear piercing is a good idea, Mark is the person to come to.

How old to do I need to be to be pierced or tattooed?

Piercing– If you are under 16 years old you will need a Parent or legal Guardian to sign your consent form in person before being pierced.

Tattoo – If you are under 18 years you will need a Parent or legal Guardian to sign your consent form in person before being tattooed.

What are your rates for tattoos?

-Our Min Rate is $130.00 (tax included) which covers most simple designs up to about 45mins worth of work.
-Our Hourly Rate is $175.00 (tax included)

Do I need to put down a deposit for my tattoo appointment?
-We presently do not require deposits for single appointments
-We do require a $400 non refundable deposit if you are booking a group of 4 or more for an entire day

I need to cancel my tattoo or piercing appointment. What do I do?

If you need to cancel your TATTOO APPOINTMENT PLEASE CALL and leave a message or EMAIL the shop ASAP.
We understand life changes on a dime, so let us know if you can’t make it. PLEASE DO NOT NO SHOW YOUR APPOINTMENT!
